Terms and Conditions All transactions are subject to our standard Terms and Conditions document, which is available upon request. Here is a summary of some of the most important points:
Preparing for the visit Please provide an accurate description of the problem when you book the appointment, so that we can make adequate preparations and give you a good idea of the likely cost and time required. We also ask that make sure that you are able to provide any CDs, product serial numbers, login details (e.g. Windows logon passwords and Internet connection details) or other information and materials we may require. If you are unable to be in at the arranged time, please give us as much notice as possible (at least 2 hours).
Like most technicians, we work on the assumption that all PC users make regular back-ups of software and documents. Although we will take reasonable care of your data provided, when servicing a PC there is normally a small risk of data loss - we strongly recommend a full backup of important data before the attendance of any technician. During a backup we will attempt to back up files in standard document folders only, unless you tell us otherwise. During a health check is it standard practice to empty or delete folders generally used for temporary file storage and to empty the recycle bin. We do not recommend you store important files in these types of locations.
Fees We will be honest and upfront about our pricing. We will try and give you a fixed, total price of the visit upon request, rather than an hourly rate. The price we give you will be based on factors such as your location, the type of problem, and when we visit. Parts costs are not included in the fees, we will try to indicate the cost of these but we may need to inspect your PC first. The prices shown on this website reflect a typical standard weekday daytime visit. The prices are a guide only and do not constitute an offer. We may need to agree a revised price with you if the work required is different to that originally agreed or expected. You must agree to pay any fees or deposits as soon as they are due, normally at the time of visit, as credit cannot be offered.
All work guaranteed If the problem (for which we originally visited) should reoccur within a reasonable period, we will arrange another visit to resolve the issue. We will not normally charge the repair fee again, unless the cause is beyond our control. We will charge for additional parts required except for those covered by our parts warranty.
No repair fee if unable to help For your peace of mind, we will not charge the repair fee if we do not have the expertise and knowledge to help you solve the problem. If we are able to offer advice or a diagnosis but are prevented from completely solving the problem due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will charge appropriately for our attendance and any help, advice, or diagnosis provided.
Possible reasons preventing us from continuing may include customer request (e.g due to parts cost); faulty or incompatible equipment, a faulty or disconnected Internet service or phone line, incorrect or missing information such as passwords, product keys or software.
Although infrequent, we reserve the right to refuse to undertake work for any reason (including but not limited to: risk, legalities or scope of services offered) although in this case we may adjust or waive the fee accordingly.
